  • Proficient in Mine Planning Software and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and

Senior Electrical Engineer

Lead all aspects of electrical engineering at the Plants including plant power and control systems. Responsible for plant project engineering and management:

  • Develops and manages capital project engineering and construction contracts;
  • Manages construction contractors and verification/quality control of work performed;

  • Actively participates in commissioning of engineering projects; and
  • Manages multiple capital projects ensuring that critical path and budget goals are met.

Maintenance and Reliability:

  • Identifies opportunities to improve Plant power and control system reliability;
  • Assists maintenance with the troubleshooting of Plant production equipment;
  • Ensures the appropriate preventive maintenance programs are in place for electrical installations;
  • Identifies and coordinates the required electrical training needs to support reliability;
  • Works with the Maintenance Department to implement process improvements;
  • Works closely with the Maintenance Department to support Reliable Asset Management objectives; and
  • Works with Production Department to set standards for Electrical and Control equipment purchases.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school is required;
  • Registered Professional Engineering License is a plus;
  • At least 5 to 15 years electrical engineering experience; and
  • Preference given to those with knowledge and experience working with and trouble-shooting of:
    • Allen Bradley based PLC control systems for process and equipment control as well as associated HMI graphics;
    • Large DC and AC motor drives control systems which utilize power electronics for variable speed control;
    • Electrical distribution systems ranging from 480V to 138 kV, including substations and MCC’s;
    • Fiber optic and Ethernet based communications systems;
    • Power factor correction systems; and
    • Electrical systems in a heavy industrial environment. 

Computer Skills:       

  • Complete proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is required;
  • AutoCAD, MS Project, CMMS systems, highly desirable;
  • Other EE related software experience a plus; and
  • Allen Bradley PLC programs (PLC5, ControlLogix, MicroLogix, and DeviceNet) to troubleshoot system challenges.

SAFETY & HEALTH MANAGER
Responsible for coordinating and leading the health and safety programs at the company facilities and to provide professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of health and safety programs.
  • Responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of health and safety programs to assure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and corporate policies. 
  • Responsibilities include management of the Safety and Health Management Program (SHMP), and associated training programs to assure compliance safety and health regulations and guidelines. 
  • Implementation of Pro-Active Safety Programs such as Behavior Based Safety
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety, health, and training program in support of Company SHMP Policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Division and Corporate SHMP policies, programs, standards, procedures, and other (MSHA) regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts on-site reviews and supports audits of operations and facilities.
  • Work with site resources to implement SHMP standards and has the ability to plan ahead for pending regulations.
  • Assist with setting SHMP Targets & Objectives and provides guidance for attainment.
  • Work closely with the Site Managers, department managers, employees at all levels, and contractors to maintain a safe and healthy work place.

Maintenance Manager

Responsible for all maintenance supervision, engineering and reliability including vibration analysis, lube oil analysis and mechanical integrity. 

Responsibilities and skills needed include:

  • Troubleshoot maintenance problems and establish Preventive Maintenance procedures;
  • Apply Knowledge of equipment maintenance and reliability;
