Lab Manager

Develop, implement, communicate and maintain quality management systems to support overall quality and production objectives. Oversee all activities related to development/application/maintenance of QA/QC procedures and standards. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide statistical analysis to support production processes and exploration;
  • Direct internal audit activities; representing company during audits;
  • Review customer contracts;
  • Review customer specs, industry changes to ensure company compliance;
  • Develop/maintain systems to rate vendors;
  • Ensure conformity of processed materials and final product to meet customer and company quality standards;
  • Identify quality issues/trends and implement defect reduction activities and corrective action data;
  • Work toward continuous improvement (Lean Enterprise) using in-process audits and certificate processes;
  • Implement newest and best proactive methods in QA areas to provide consistent high quality with minimum time and cost;
  • Determine the number and qualifications of personnel, as well as the equipment and material necessary, to satisfy workload demands;
  • Direct and coordinate a staff of laboratory technicians in the testing of a wide variety of materials to determine their chemical and physical properties;
  • Serve as liaison with project managers, department managers, technicians, and clients to resolve disputes and provide interpretive and evaluative analyses of tests and inspections performed;
  • Disseminate technical information on the performance of tested materials; suggests modifications in the formulation, processing, and production of sub-standard materials for conformity to specifications;
  • Serve as liaison with governmental agencies with respect to policies, procedures, and programs;
  • Responsible for providing advice on the suitability of products for engineering applications;
  • Interpret complex specifications and formulates procedures for testing materials submitted without specifications;
  • Assist in the preparation of the department budget;
  • Establish departmental operating policies and procedures and work standards; and
  • Analyze, evaluate, and approve reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 yrs QA management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Knowledge of engineering theory, principles, and practices, relative to materials testing;
  • Knowledge of XRF sample analysis and operation;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; excellent organizational skills; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Production Manager - Milling

Operational responsibility and accountability for production in Milling operation.  Responsible for setting the vision and to achieve business objectives while building a positive plant culture. Additionally, provide leadership and  implement organizational strategies in production area(s) to meet safety, quality and production design goals in addition to cost objectives, product/technology development and promoting a strong team atmosphere.

Quarry Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Direct all mine production, operations and maintenance;
  • Monitor mining methods and equipment to improve performance; ensure maximum productivity and extraction rates by optimizing mining methods and procedures;
  • Serve as liaison with Federal, State and Local regulators. Completing, or overseeing completion of all required reports, certifications and recertifications;
  • Direct Operations to ensure that designs are implemented in the field;
  • Promote and coordinate continuous process improvement initiatives;
  • Establish and maintain effective work and communication relationships within departments, ensuring that efficient day to day operational decisions can be achieved;
  • Provide guidance and counsel to site management on applicable programs and practices;
  • Remain current on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance; and
  • Complete special projects as assigned.  

Requirements:

  • B.S in Mining Engineering;
  • Strong understanding of Mine Planning, Mine Scheduling, Mine Geology/Geotechnical and Mine Production with ability to evaluate ore grade/quality, cut-off grade, blending, slope stability, mine capacity, and production strategies;
  • Understanding of mining software such as Surpac, MineSite, Gemcom, Vulcan or equivalent;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills.

Reliability Manager 

Responsible for division reliability management. Lead the Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Program for multiple manufacturing sites. This individual will lead the Maintenance and Reliability Engineers and Technicians in the reliability programs and will champion the Reliability program at multiple sites. Looking for an individual who has a solid track record in PM/PdM and who has mentored and developed personnel in Maintenance and Reliability Departments. The position will include:

  • Responsibility for maintenance engineering and reliability;
  • Responsibility for electrical and mechanical reliability, NDT, vibration analysis, lube oil analysis and mechanical integrity;
  • Serve as Champion for the Reliability Program;
  • Lead troubleshooting of plant maintenance problems and establish Preventive and Predictive Maintenance procedures;
  • Direct and coordinate CMMS;
  • Work closely with plant management personnel; and
  • Train personnel and developing Reliability Centered Maintenance Program. 
Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree required, preferably in engineering;
  • Able to train personnel and develop Reliability Centered Maintenance Program;
  • Track record of improving plant OEE; and
  • Experience with CMMS.
