Mine Operations and Engineering Manager

Responsibilities include:

  • Direct all mine production, operations and maintenance;
  • Monitor mining methods and equipment to improve performance; ensure maximum productivity and extraction rates by optimizing mining methods and procedures;
  • Serve as liaison with Federal, State and Local regulators. Completing, or overseeing completion of all required reports, certifications and recertifications;
  • Direct Operations to ensure that designs are implemented in the field;
  • Promote and coordinate continuous process improvement initiatives;
  • Establish and maintain effective work and communication relationships within departments, ensuring that efficient day to day operational decisions can be achieved;
  • Provide guidance and counsel to site management on applicable programs and practices;
  • Remain current on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance; and
  • Complete special projects as assigned.  


Requirements include:

  • B.S in Mining Engineering;
  • Strong understanding of Mine Planning, Mine Scheduling, Mine Geology/Geotechnical and Mine Production with ability to evaluate ore grade/quality, cut-off grade, blending, slope stability, mine capacity, and production strategies;
  • Understanding of mining software such as Surpac, MineSite, Gemcom, Vulcan or equivalent;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills.

Process Engineering Manager

The Process Engineering Manager supervises the Process Engineering group and is responsible for tracking and documenting the processes of the plants. He/she monitors recovery at the plants and is responsible for working with plant operations to maintain budgeted recovery and guides his/her group to do the same. The Process Engineering Manager must develop a healthy relationship with the plant operations personnel and guide them in making process change decisions. He/she guides the process engineering group to assist superintendents in budgeting and forecasting exercises, ensures product quality and efficiency of processing processes at all surface operations, guides the Process Engineering group in developing capital project proposals, scopes and AFEs, tracks progress of capital projects and produces regular reports on status.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoot processing problems with particular emphasis on recovery;
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting;
  • Evaluate lab data;
  • Manage process information for major projects;
  • Develop scopes, AFEs and track progress of projects;
  • Propose improvement modifications to existing equipment and processes;
  • Develop new procedures and equipment to solve process issues if needed;
  • Train Process personnel;
  • Determine if work areas are safe;
  • Observe and enforce all safety and company rules; and
  • Travel as required. 


Requirements include:

  • BS in Mineral Process Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering/Chemical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Ten plus years experience as a Process Engineer; and
  • Technical supervision experience strongly preferred.

Electrical Maintenance Supervisor 

Serve as Plant Electrical Maintenance Supervisor; responsible for supervising electrical, instrumentation and automation maintenance crews and coordinating reliability projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoot E & I maintenance problems and establish Preventive Maintenance procedures;
  • Direct and coordinate plant CMMS for Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation;
  • Direct installation and commissioning of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and interface displays on Distributor Control Systems (DCS);
  • Direct screen development, enhancements and modifications for HMI’s;
  • Effectively communicate with all departments on program modifications and changes;
  • Train E&I staff on operation of new equipment and installations;
  • Inspect and test equipment, electrical control and safety devices for operation and safety; and
  • Observe all safety rules, regulations and precautions.


Requirements include:

  • BS / BA or Associates Degree preferred;
  • Experience supervising E & I maintenance projects, reliability, vibration analysis, etc.;
  • Understand programs with advanced PLC instructions such as PID, function blocks, advanced math, etc.; and
  • Familiar with variable frequency drives (VFD) and servodrives.

Electrical Engineer

Lead all aspects of electrical engineering at the multiple Plants including plant power and control systems. Responsible for plant project engineering and management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the plant’s electrical systems and electrical maintenance programs;
  • Maintain electrical data, documentation, and drawings;
  • Implement electrical engineering solutions to solve problems and contribute to the company’s Operational Excellence;
  • Manage all aspects of long-term plant power supply needs and strategies;
  • Establish electrical standards and implement the management systems to maintain those standards;
  • Design for electrical and control components of engineering projects;
  • Take the lead in the diagnosis and trouble-shooting of electrical systems;
  • Monitor plant power consumption and related charges, and implement techniques and procedures to minimize energy costs; and
  • Manage all aspects of site PLC/HMI systems to control all processes and provide data required for management of the Plants.

Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

Lead Environmental, Health and Safety for the entire facility.  Tour all plants and proactively identify opportunities to enhance EHS efforts and results. Successfully collaborate with all site personnel, contractors, regulators, and corporate staff and provide full spectrum support in the EHS effort.   

Responsibilities include:

  • Direction of site leadership in best EHS practices and related process improvement;
  • Implementation and maintenance of EHS policy and procedures;
  • Sustain and continuously improve the site’s EHS Management System; ensure conformance to the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® program;
  • Maintain injury/illness records and reports; analyze data for trend identification for exposure elimination, risk reduction and injury prevention;
  • Develop and conduct training programs for entire workforce;
  • Conduct Industrial Hygiene surveys;
  • Conduct EHS audits, recommending and assisting in the correction of hazards identified;
  • Participate and administer the Joint Health & Safety Committee;
  • Administer the medical management program for injured employees; direct worker’s compensation program ensuring effective return-to-work and light-duty programs;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal & state EHS regulations;
  • Report required information on a timely, accurate & complete basis to regulatory agencies and to the corporate office;
  • Uphold and promote the Core Principles of the Company: inspire trust, create value, focus on results, teamwork, leadership, continuous learning, and communication
  • Lead Trend Analysis and proposed programs/focus/tool box information to mitigate based on specific opportunities for improvement;
  • Further define minimum incident investigation requirements and participation; and
