Process Engineer - Chemicals

Responsible for improving plant operating processes - debottlenecking, process optimization, process improvement and product enhancements through process improvements.

Responsibilities include: 
  • Process modifications to improve quality, reduce costs, improve reliability, and improve safety;
  • Hands-on, continuous improvement;
  • Equipment and process changes, commissioning and validation of equipment;
  • Provide engineering leadership and assistance to operations including: establishing operating parameters, troubleshooting, evaluation of equipment and technical recommendations;
  • Provide technical assistance in order to develop and implement Quality Assurance;
  • Proactively provide leadership for the design and commercialization of new and existing products;
  • Direct a high performance team that is at the frontline of interactions with marketing & sales to drive business results;
  • Utilize creative problem solving and the design of experiment approach to deliver technical solutions and communicates them to a wide range of business functions so that they can take action on the recommendations;
  • Direct development of best practices with other Engineers and Scientists to drive continuous improvement. 
Requirements include:
  • BS Chemical Engineering and MBA;
  • 5+ years chemical plant, pilot plant and R&D process engineering;
  • Knowledge of statistical methods - SPC;
  • Excel, Microsoft Office applications, with PLC knowledge a plus.
